Without a doubt, the Czech Republic has been at the forefront of organic farming in Europe. The push towards organics has been so successful that its share of agriculture area has reached 12.7%—one of the highest in the EU. The Czech Republic ranks on the lower end when it comes to processing, but that’s starting to change. Organic distributors have increased fivefold between 2007-2015. What’s more, a spike in the number of production facilities since 2012 has led to increased meat, grain, and fruit-vegetable capacity.
